About
Enduring Finances is a personal finance blog designed to help you learn more about money, investing, and the goal of achieving financial independence.
I have heard over and over again that people weren’t taught about finances in school and they don’t know where to start. I want to bridge the gap of financial knowledge and applying it for a better life today and tomorrow.
I want to get you set up to be able to to decide what or how you really want to spend your time. This is not and never will be a one size fits all. Hopefully, this will be the foundation that you can build from. Whether you are in your 20’s and just starting to find yourself or you are headed into your golden years. The foundation is still the same, I want to bring a different perspective that might help you individually.
My Story
When I was growing up my parents taught me the importance of saving money. Each on my brothers and I had piggy banks and watched our parents balance their checkbooks at the kitchen counter every week.
I started investing in 2013 after my oldest brother gave me my first book about personal finance. Since then I have been learning as much as I can about money, finance, and business.
I spent 5 and a half years active duty in the U.S. Army. During that time, I used tuition assistance to take one or two college classes at a time. When I returned home, I went to school full time while working multiple part time jobs. I ended up graduating in 2019 with bachelor’s degrees in business administration and human resource management.
Now at the age of 28, the only debt I have is my mortgage an in a few years, that will be paid off too. I have been able to travel to multiple different countries and look forward to exploring more. Join me on this adventure and we can learn and grow together.
