Sorry for the delay! I took a week off at the end of March to spend some time with family. Then… I came down with a bug and struggled to regain my voice. So… not a lot of work was done and I took way too many hot bubble baths! But now we are back in action!
The first camping trip of the year was a success! Fish were caught, the munchkins were happy and I found out that Jaxon can fit through the side window of my camper shell! Overall it was a fun adventure and a great way to kick off the warmer seasons!
I lost another 5 pounds brining my total weight loss to over 35 pounds in total! And, I lost two and a half inches from my stomach! Slowly getting back into my routine of working out and eating on my own schedule!
I pushed out the second episode of the Podcast, Careers At A Glance! And after the struggle of getting listed on iTunes, it finally happened! We are fully up and running with the Podcast! Feel free to give any feedback (good or bad) on the episodes, I want to give the best episodes possible and feedback is a great way to achieve that!
Stock Market Portfolio –
My portfolio jumped up a little bit to just under $31,500! My Lending Club account dropped under $190 and is continuing to dwindle down. And of course, I keep reinvesting those dividends back into more stock to increase my portfolio!
We had a higher month in dividends bringing in $85.60 with a whopping $1.98 in returns from the Lending Club. I also added the interest I earned from my high yield savings account which brought in $7.10 for just under $5,000 in the account.
Business Income –
The list of income seems to keep growing which is a great thing! In fact, I finally got this site monetized just at the start of March so a small trickle of ad revenue came in at a whole $0.09! I also sold another stock photograph with is my truest form of passive income at this time! And I sold another photography print and adjusted the income to account for the operating expense to print and ship the photo showing the true gross income from the sale.
Additional Income –
I added a new side hustle to my portfolio by walking dogs on Rover! I did seven, 30 minute walks and made $12.00 for each after Rover took out their fees. I also received passive income from renting out a portion of my property for someone to store their RV. They did a lump payment for the past few months and I don’t have to do anything really. The fence, lock, and security cameras do the leg work for me!
Goals for 2022 –
- Practice the piano for 1 hour each week! I want to be a great pianist!
- Go on a backpacking trip in the mountains and get lots of pictures, fishing and exploring in!
- Lose weight and pack on some muscles! I enjoy weightlifting and the pump that comes from hitting those weights!
Long-Term Goals –
- Pay off my Mortgage and become 100% debt free! My goal is to pay it off completely by 2030… A hard target and will depend upon how business goes!
- Participate in a Triathlon and a Winter Triathlon. I completed a full marathon while I was stationed in Hawaii back in 2014. And I also completed the Baton Memorial Death March in 2019 which is a full marathon ruck march.
- Build a Dividend Portfolio that generates around $2,000 per month. That would equate to about $24,000 annually, just from dividends. With my current diversification strategy, that would mean about a $600,000 stock Portfolio earning an average of 4% on dividends a year. (Not counting market value increases) We are a long way away from reaching that but, it’s all about those baby steps along the way!
